Greetings from the Outskirts of Kyoto vol.67

INOUE Shōichi (Director-General)

I am poised to take a course in AI. I will learn how to use AI well, and how best to engage with it.

In all honesty, I have no desire to receive this training. I think it is unnecessary for me. I have written about this before, but let me repeat myself. I don’t own a computer; nor do I have a smart phone. I have lived my life entirely removed from all digital technology. When it comes to AI, I have never set eyes on it.

I will never ever mis-use AI. To begin with, I don’t possess the wherewithal to misuse. What on earth is the point in making someone like me take a course on AI?

It is regrettable but we all have to attend the course. Our office hope that we can achieve 100% attendance at our institute. I accept and shall comply. I intend to take this course that is meaningless to me.

But is this not really a type of harassment? I would like to ask AI for its opinion: Is it not a form of abuse to have me instructed in AI? I feel inadequate because I lack the ability to even ask such a question.
