In November 2022, we hosted a meeting for representatives of Japanese Studies institutes, with contributions from participants based in Europe, North America, and Asia. This book shares with readers the current situation for research on Japan in each of these regions, details the conference and the discussions that resulted, and points towards useful ways to develop the field.
