“Expo-logy” is the broad, interdisciplinary field of the humanities made possible by research on expos. Expos, the world’s largest official events, began in the mid-nineteenth century and continue to this day. The 32 essays in this book, focusing on and exploring various aspects of expos, spotlight the path that humanity has taken. Expos can be regarded as a method for grasping the world.
