The question is not why we are discriminated against, but why we discriminate. The formation of the social order renders discrimination ineluctable. If so, then discrimination becomes a problem for all who occupy a majority position. This is the first in a series of volumes that draws on a variety of perspectives to overturn conventional views of discrimination by looking at the structures of order and discrimination that are inherent in religion.
