I think this whenever I look at my face in the mirror. How I have grown old!<\/p>\r\n
I sometimes appear on TV. When I look at recordings of myself, there is no avoiding it. Whichever way I look at it, I am an old man. I am the oldest of all the guests in the studio. Sometimes I end up, despite myself, thinking such thoughts. It is probably time for me to give up TV work. Such is my negative mood.<\/p>\r\n
However, an event happened very recently that made me change my mind on this. My four year-old grand-daughter was absolutely thrilled when she saw me appear on TV. My daughter showed me a video of her shouting, \u201cGrandad! Grandad! Grandad!\u201d<\/p>\r\n
My grand-daughter was that excited about me! On seeing that video, I made up my mind not to give up TV work. I intend to persevere through my advancing years, so long as I am in demand. This is what I now think.<\/p>\r\n
My regular appearance on a certain TV program\u2015a very modest undertaking\u2015has just begun.<\/p>\r\n
